Over the past few years, I've used these graphical types to make my art. I now generally prefer to work with pixels, but I have used vector graphics, and to a lesser extent, the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII). These three art mediums can be used to create similar works when they all use the same example and a similar colour palette:
These works are all relatively similar but they use the three different mediums; ASCII, pixel, and vector graphics. The pixel graphics are sharp and blocky, the vector graphics are smooth and simplistic. The ASCII graphics are similar to the pixel graphics, but they have more noise because, for every pixel on the pixel graphics there is one cell to insert a character in the ASCII version.
If you want to create your own artworks using these mediums, then I suggest using
None of these mediums are any better than the rest, they are all unique styles that have their limitations.
Happy graphics-making!
